What is the age range for snorkeling?

The eligible age range is 6 to 65 years old. This is determined by the regulations of the instructor’s training organization and insurance coverage conditions.

I am not a strong swimmer. Can I still join snorkeling?

Yes, you can.
At Marine House Aharen, our staff support guests by holding a large orange float (board) during snorkeling, allowing even non-confident swimmers to participate safely.

You can move while holding the float, so you can enjoy snorkeling comfortably without overexertion.

Is there an underwater photography service during snorkeling?

Yes. Our staff use a GoPro to record the entire tour free of charge.

  • This is not a dedicated personal photographer service.
  • Photo and video data is usually uploaded to our official website within 2 to 3 days.

Can I join snorkeling if I wear glasses or have poor eyesight?

Yes, you can participate.
You cannot wear regular glasses with an underwater mask, but prescription snorkeling masks are available.

However, prescription masks are not custom-made for each individual’s eyesight.
For a more comfortable experience, we recommend using disposable contact lenses.

We provide prescription masks from 200 to 700, in increments of 100.
If your eyesight is 200 or lower, you may be able to use a standard (non-prescription) mask.

Can I take photos with my own smartphone during snorkeling?

You may bring your smartphone on the boat or during snorkeling, but you are responsible for managing it yourself. As it will be used around seawater, a waterproof case is required.

Waterproof cases are also sold at our shop. However, we cannot take responsibility for loss, damage, or water leakage, so please understand in advance.
